約翰福音於一開始就清楚的表明了耶穌的身份。1至18節濃縮了全書的主要重點。施洗約翰也於第一章出現，他在世界上的事工是為 “那在我以後來的” 做預備。

The Gospel of John began by clearly declare the identity of Jesus. Verses 1 to 18 introduced the major themes that will be presented throughout this book. Then, John the Baptist was introduced as he prepare for the One to come later.

The passage we studied today provided an amazing picture of Jesus – the one who appeared to be “just a man” and yet far more than a man. He was God, the Creator, the only-begotten Son of God, and came in the flesh. Throughout the Gospel of John, we’ll learn that Jesus is the revelation of God and His will. He is the Word, the Light, and the Truth.)

Gospel of John: Introduction and Overview

From September 2010 to June 2011, our home group will study the Gospel of John and revisit
some key and fundamental doctrine about God’s salvation through His One and Only Son,
Jesus Christ. We will begin the study with an overview of the Gospel of John – background
information; purpose and theme; structure; and key messages. Consequently, we will study the
entire twenty-one chapters of the Gospel of John.

Luke?

As we examine the passages from the Gospel of John in details during the next several months,
we will review many well-known passages and stories, examine God’s love and salvation plan
for us, and build stronger relationship with our Lord. Please prepare your heart and ask for
God’s guidance and wisdom before each Bible study.
